Patience is a virtue

My brother in law is going to Italy for work for a 6 month period.  This is no news to us and we've all talked about it.  I told Cynthia I wouldn’t mind her going to visit him pregnant.  It does not worry me.  Cynthia is very sweet and has expressed that the surrogacy plan comes first.    Tim's job offers them a complimentary ticket for her to go visit and her plan is to go in February while on BCP before a cycle in March.

This has been bugging me for a while.  Number one, it’s winter over there now, not the best time to go to Europe for the first time.  Number two they should all go, her and the kids.  An opportunity to take a family vacation to Europe it’s not something they have every day.  So I called her last night.  I asked her what her plans would be if we were not cycling at all.  She said they would probably wait until the Spring, when the kids are out of school and go all together.   I said that’s what they should do, there is really no rush, what is another few months of waiting for us, I am used to it and I would really feel bad if they missed out a great trip because of me.  Carrying my baby is enough sacrifice already.

The plan is to continue with the testing and wait until the summer to start cycling.  I feel good about that.

Thanks for all the replies yesterday.  It helps A LOT!

  1. Sounds like a good plan that you are comfortable with! Good for you for reaching out to discuss it with her!
