And it's February already!

Wasn't it just Christmas?

Life has been good.  Trying not to think about babies much, time goes by faster and it's less painful that way.   Cynthia is almost done with her testing.  Everything is looking great.  She's such a good sport about everything and great at communicating, couldn't have asked for more.  I will soon have another consult with the doctor in Seattle to get the final OK.

In the meantime,  I have 5 real life friends that are pregnant which feels to me like the whole world is pregnant now.   I remember years ago 2 of my co-workers got pregnant while I was going through my first IVF, I thought that was a good sign, a great omen!  If everyone is pregnant around me, that means I'm next!  Ha!

Thanks for the awesome recommendations of books!  I am currently reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, AMAZING  memoir!   I'm almost done, I'm devouring it, it's so good.  And on my bed stand I already  have Gone Girl and The book of Joe (can't get enough of Jonathan Tropper) waiting for me.  Nothing like great books to take me away from my own thoughts.

And before I let you go, I want to congratulate A Passage to Baby for the awesome news!  I love seeing women that have struggled getting their dreams come true!

Any plans for Valentine's Day?

  1. I love that book, one of my favorites. I will be sure to check out the other ones. I really liked Some Girls: My LIfe in a Harem, the end had an interesting twist. I feel like everyone around me is also pregnant, there are 4 people at work. I am not going to lie I still think how lucky they are and how easy it was for them. I so know I need to be so happy for what I have but I think there will always be that part of me that thinks that.

  3. Oooooh, the Glass Castle is GREAT! I believe she wrote another book after that, which was equally acclaimed, so maybe look into it... and let us know how Gone Girl is; I keep hearing about that one. Plans for Valentine's Day, when my hubby is on the other side of the world: STAYING INSIDE. It's either going to be the best V-day or the worst V-day, too, because that's when I'll be taking my pregnancy test to see if this IVF worked. EEK!

    1. Oh really? Thanks for mentioning that. I think she is amazing and would love to know more. I just finished The Glass Castle this morning and now watching some of her interviews. I wish more people would write Memoirs. Hers is such an inspirational piece!

  4. Loved Glass Castle and her more recent book Half Broke Horses. You'll also devour Gone Girl. I feel like I've read everything that sucks you in but I'd love a good book right now!

  5. Awwwwww - thank you so much! I'm still very nervous (comes with the territory) but cautiously excited.

I'm pulling for you! Really think that you are doing the best options for you for a success.

    Hugs!
