Passed with flying colors!

I talked to the nurse coordinator in Seattle today.  She said that Cynthia is the perfect candidate for surrogacy.  Her uterine cavity is perfect, her pregnancies and delivery history is perfect, her hormones are perfect and also her regular blood work is outstanding, she said.  Her cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, everything looks great.   Wonderful news!

I asked about twins and she said they transfer two embryos (created with donor eggs) up to the age of 52.  She said that there are always risks with twins but they feel confident transferring two.  The nurse mentioned that even young patients could have pre-term deliveries, she mentioned a recent case of a woman of age 30 delivering at 32 weeks, she said it could happen with young women and it could happen with older ones.

I feel confident about it.  I know luck has not been on my side, but I want to take the risk.  The plan stays on transferring one of each.  Now we just have to get the finances together so we can purchase donor eggs.

  9. Wow, that is an amazing report card!! You could not have asked for a better surrogate, it seems. How long do you think it'll take before you can actually purchase the donor eggs? Is Cynthia on any sort of timeline, or will she stick around until you guys are ready?
