Flying to Seattle with Princeton was a piece of cake. Everyone was really nice at the airport and in the plane and never for a single moment did I have to put him in the carrier, he was on my lap the whole time and seemed happy and relaxed. But that night he got extremely sick, vomiting, bloody diarrhea (sorry TMI), shaking terribly. Due to the Cushing's disease, he has developed chronic Pancreatitis and we are guessing he got an acute pancreatitis attack. We spent all Saturday at the emergency animal hospital here in Seattle, it was very scary. Today he hate for the first time in 48 hours and we have been so worried. Still not gotten a clear answer as to what got him so sick but he seemed to be doing a bit better.
I've spent the rest of our time in Seattle at home, happily taking care of my little boy. Cynthia has a beautiful house with a gorgeous view, so we have been enjoying our time here and had plenty of time to talk.
Cynthia is very excited, positive and enthusiastic about our plans. Such a sweetheart! She is flying at the end of the month back to Italy, with her daughter. Her daughter has decided to take advantage of the opportunity to study abroad and will be going to school there until the end of the year. They will all be back by december and she will be ready to start prepping for the transfer right away. She was even wondering if she could start medication back there so she can pretty much jump off the plane and get the transfer done. That's how excited she is to get pregnant.
Last week, after posting here and giving some thought to the idea of doing a transfer into myself, I emailed Dr. Jain and set up an appointment for today. Well, today came and I'm not convinced I want to do anything yet. Dr. Jain is of the opinion that I could try, there is really not much loss if I transfer one in to me and see what happens. I am thinking maybe I could try around November/December, maybe. Thinking that if it fails then Cynthia's cycle would just be right around the corner and it might be easier to get my emotions back together having something right away to get excited about. Just a thought.
While complimenting her about her gorgeous new home, it has a gorgeous view from every single room, she immediately said "you'll be enjoying it next year, I imagine you will want to come at least every couple of months to "see" the baby/ies" I replied saying that I'm afraid I will be stocking her all the time, and she said that it would not be a problem, she'll be very excited to share every news with me. That was amazing to hear as you know how worried I was!
Tomorrow is Cynthia's birthday but we'll be leaving in the am. We got a surprise cake last night as an early celebration and had dinner all together with the kids. It was a great night. We had bought her a nice present for her birthday and as a thank you for how great she's been to us.
She was so happy and so grateful. I loved seeing her so excited, she almost never treats herself to anything, so it was awesome so see a huge smile on her face.
